High Performance Options
Net Zero Energy Home is a high performance home which is so energy efficient, that a renewable energy system can offset all or most of its annual energy consumption. Passive House refers to a rigorous, voluntary standard for energy efficiency in a building, reducing its ecological footprint. It results in ultra-low energy buildings that require little energy for space heating or cooling. A deep energy retrofit is a whole-building analysis and construction process that achieves much larger energy cost savings, sometimes more than 50% reduction, than those of simpler energy retrofits and fundamentally enhances the building value.
