Historic Lakeside Home Gets Restored Sunroom
This home on Lake Mendota was designed by Frank Riley, who created an elegant sunroom facing the lake. At some point a small non-original screen porch was built, and many other ill-fitting elements were added to the sunroom’s interior and exterior. These were removed, the screen porch was demolished, and the original door and window openings were restored. The home’s mechanicals were updated, wood floors were refinished or replaced, and the kitchen and bathrooms were remodeled, to restore the home to its original glory.
